LASG ISSUES Y2024 PROMOTION LETTERS TO SUCCESSFUL OFFICERS
The Civil Service Commission has commenced the issuance of Promotion Letters to the next grade level to successful officers who participated in the Year 2024 Promotion Exercise.
According to a statement issued today by the Commission, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu approved the release of Promotion Letters to successful Officers at the recently concluded Year 2024 Promotion Exercise
Annually, the Lagos State Government through the Civil Service Commission conducts Promotion Exercise for Eligible Officers who satisfy all the necessary conditions and assessment criteria for promotion.
The required criteria for promotion by the Commission include having a Satisfactory Performance Evaluation as required for the promotion levels, participating in the two components of the Revised Structured Training Programme (RSTP) and the Oral Interview for Officers from Grade Levels 13 and above.
4,301 Eligible Officers participated in the Year 2024 Promotion Exercise organised by the Commission for Civil Servants in the State.
The approved financial dates for successful Officers by the Governor were 1st April for Officers with 1st January 2024 as their Notional date while the Notional date for Officers with 1st July 2024 will take effect from 1st July 2024.
The Commission has therefore concluded the issuance of Promotion letters to the next grade levels to successful Officers with 1st January 2024 notional date while the issuance of promotion letters to successful Officers whose notional date is July 2024, will commence in the month of June 2024.
The release also stated that Officers who did not meet the set evaluation criteria for the Year 2024 Promotion Exercise would be issued with letters of Advice through their respective parent Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
The Year 2024 Promotion Exercise is indeed a landmark in the Annals of Promotion Exercises, as the Commission made good its promise to ensure that the financial dates of Officers with 1st January notional dates take effect from 1st April instead of 1st July.
