‘Scripted & boring’ rage Netflix fans who say they switched off ‘new Selling Sunset’ after ‘insufferable’ first episode

NETFLIX fans have been left raging at the UK’s spin-off of Selling Sunset after it made its debut on the streaming platform.

Buying London viewers confessed they were reaching for the remote over the “boring and scripted” reality series.

The glossy new show was launched as a London based spin-off of hit show Selling Sunset and follows suave estate agents deal with selling some of London’s most exclusive and elegant properties.

It follows millionaire tycoon Daniel Daggers’ glossy team at DDRE, and sees the girls and guys raking in eye watering commissions flogging the capital’s luxury property from Mayfair townhouses to the exclusive enclaves of Holland Park.

Whilst the show is filled to the brim with money, drama, love and deals aplenty, fans have been left bitterly disappointed as its debut episode made it onto screens.

Furious viewers have lashed out at the programme after it failed to live up to its sunshine sister show based out of Los Angeles.

With a less than impressive review, one viewer took to X, formerly Twitter, and said: “Wow, #buyinglondon is worse than I expected. It is so obviously scripted and boring, one episode is more than enough.”

Another unhappy Netflix watched added: “I switched buying London off at the photoshoot in the first episode, insufferable is not a big enough word for these clowns.”

Someone else insisted that the show was in “poor taste” for showing off flashy multi-million pound propertied amid the current cost of living crisis.

They wrote: “The new Netflix show #buyinglondon is in poor taste considering the current climate. Plus is boring.”

A fourth went on to say: “Buying London is actually embarrassing, is this what London has to offer?”

Before a fifth simply penned: “#BuyingLondon is AWFUL.”

Buying London features a number of notable faces with S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens‘ ex-husband Alex Bourne among the cast as well as former Sky Sports beauty Olivia Wayne, who is back in the spotlight after quitting the broadcaster since becoming a mum.

Elsewhere viewers will see reformed playboy Oli Hamilton struggle to resist the temptation of his flirtatious colleagues and keep his marriage on track, whilst sex kitten interior designer Juliana Ardenius is intent on pursuing her – as yet unidentified – workplace crush.

There’s rivalry at play too, as super agents Rosi Walden and Lauren Christy clash over the best listings.
