Report confirms Tottenham’s interest in 23-year-old Premier League winger
TEAMtalk have claimed that Nottingham Forest might have to consider selling Tottenham target Callum Hudson-Odoi due to their current financial predicament.
Hudson-Odoi has had an impressive first season at the City Ground after his switch from Stamford Bridge last summer, with the winger finding the back of the net eight times and playing a crucial role in helping Forest preserve their Premier League status.
Spurs insider Paul O Keefe was the first to reveal earlier this week that Tottenham had set their sights on the 23-year-old ahead of the summer.
Forest might have to sell Callum Hudson-Odoi
Spurs’ interest in Hudson-Odoi has now been backed up by TEAMtalk, who claim that the Lilywhites have been impressed by the attacker’s displays at the Midlands this season.
The report states that Ange Postecoglou is keen on adding a winger to his squad and has now set his sights on the former Chelsea man.
It is explained that while Forest want to hang on to the England international, they realise that they have to sell some of their assets to ensure they do not fall foul of PSR for a second year in a row.
TEAMtalk claim that Tottenham are aware of the financial predicament of Nuno Espirito Santo’s side and they hope to pounce on Hudson-Odoi.
However, the publication adds that the North London side are expected to face plenty of competition for the skilful dribbler, with several clubs across Europe keeping an eye on his situation.

It is clear that Tottenham need a wide-forward who is capable of beating his man and Hudson-Odoi certainly ticks that box and would thrive in Postecoglou’s system. However, a move for the Forest star would almost certainly rule out a permanent deal for Timo Werner.
