Mason Miller's 103 mph fastball looked absolutely impossible to hit in a mesmerizing video from behind home plate

He's a cheat code.

The Oakland Athletics have been somewhat of a surprise this season. No, they’re not a good baseball team by any means, but they at least look the part for a mediocre MLB squad. That in itself is a surprise.

But when you have baseball’s most dominant relief pitcher Mason Miller coming out of the bullpen, games become shorter (and thus, easier).

Miller had the opportunity to face the National League’s worst team — the Rockies — on Tuesday, and it went just about how we should have expected for Colorado. Miller struck out the side with 14 of his 16 pitches being fastballs of at least 100 mph. He finished the game off with a 102.8 mph fastball to Ezequiel Tovar. And as we can see in the home-plate view, facing Miller looks like a terrifying experience.

With two strikes, Miller knows that the hitter needs to protect the plate while also accounting for the slider. And when 103 is coming the batter’s way, there’s not really much anyone can do.

Miller hasn’t even allowed a hit since April 25. He hasn’t allowed a run since his first appearance of the season in March. His K rate is 54 percent. No wonder MLB fans were blown away by that video. He’s a cheat code, basically.
