Buildings proposed
at site in Inverness

The Marin County Community Development Agency is reviewing a residential construction proposal at 200 Keith Way in Inverness.

The application calls for a 734-square-foot addition to the 2,502-square-foot residence. It also seeks a 701-square-foot accessory dwelling unit, a 449-square-foot guest house, a new septic system and the removal of two heritage trees.

The project requires a coastal development permit. No hearing has been scheduled. Comments can be emailed to county planner Leslie Lacko at leslie.lacko@marincounty.gov.

SAN RAFAEL

Teenagers stopped
in stolen vehicle

Police arrested two teenagers traveling in a stolen vehicle in San Rafael.

The San Rafael Police Department’s street camera system detected the vehicle’s license plate at about 2 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle had been reported stolen in Oakland.

Officers stopped the vehicle near the corner of Canal Street and Medway Road and arrested the suspects, ages 15 and 17, on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, police Lt. Scott Eberle said. He did not identify the suspects because they are younger than 18.

Assessment board
seeks applications

Two slots are open for people with a background in real estate, accounting, law, or property appraisal on the Assessment Appeals Board.

Applicants with five years of professional experience in related fields must include documentation of qualifying experience.

The application deadline is 5 p.m. Aug. 2.
