Vi fundraising may not click until new govt comes online

Vodafone Idea (Vi) plans to pause its fundraising activities until after the elections, awaiting clarity on the conversion of more statutory dues into equity by the new government. The company aims to raise up to ₹35,000 crore through debt and other facilities, having recently raised over ₹20,000 crore through a share sale. Vi's lenders are seeking clarity on future equity conversions by the government and the outcome of the company's curative plea in the Supreme Court regarding its arrears based on adjusted gross revenue (AGR).
