Boil water advisory for Troy, North Greenbush

The city of Troy issued a boil water advisory for all residents of the east side of Troy and the North Greenbush water system.

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The city of Troy issued a boil water advisory for all residents of the east side of Troy and those using the North Greenbush water system. There will be a loss of pressure in both water systems.

Residents from the Pawling Avenue and Congress Street intersection east of the city line, including all side streets, Winter Street to the city line, and the entire North Greenbush public water supply will be impacted for the next day or two. For the water to be safe to drink, bring it to a rolling boil for one minute and let it cool before use, or use bottled water certified for sale by the NYS Department of Health.
