Troy police make drug arrest, seized fentanyl

Police arrested a Troy man and seized over 1,000 bags of illegal drugs when they conducted a court-ordered search of his car on Tuesday, May 21.

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Police arrested a Troy man and seized over 1,000 bags of illegal drugs when they conducted a court-ordered search of his car on Tuesday, May 21. Eric Fox, 50, was charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance after police found cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl pills in his vehicle.

Charges

  • Three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance/ intent to sell
  • One count of first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
  • Two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance

Fox's car was searched near 6th Street and Fulton Street as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. He was arraigned in Troy City Court on Wednesday, May 22, and is remanded to Rensselaer County Jail.
