Pacific Power reports outage impacting 33K+ customers in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Pacific Power says an outage in the Portland area left more than 33,000 people without power Wednesday afternoon.

Of the 23 outages in Oregon, several were scattered within the boundaries of Northeast Portland, according to the Pacific Power outage map.

Officials say the outage was caused by "a beaver tooth through a tree" somewhere in the area of NW Portland. Power was restored before 5 p.m.
