Person struck by train, causing Manhattan subway service to be delayed: MTA
NEW YORK (PIX11) -- A person was struck by a train at the Cathedral Parkway–110th Street subway station in Upper Manhattan on Wednesday, disrupting service and causing delays to multiple trains, according to the MTA.
Train service for A, B, C, and D trains is disrupted until at least 6:25 p.m. while emergency teams respond to the injured person, according to the MTA. Transit officials urged the public to take the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 trains as an alternative.
The incident does not appear to be criminal in nature, according to the NYPD.
This is the third person struck by a train on Wednesday. A train in Queens struck a man, and the No. 7 line is still experiencing severe delays.
Another person was struck in Brooklyn, causing the D, N, R, and W trains to run with severe delays in both directions.
The MTA could not immediately comment on the separate incidents where people had been struck by a subway train.
