Beauty fans race to Superdrug as brand slash lots of products to 60p – including beauty blenders & sheet face masks
IF you need to stock up some beauty supplies, you may wish to head to Superdrug.
The beauty retailer is currently having a super sale in celebration of being 60 years old, meaning many products are as low as 60p.
Superdrug is turning 60 this year and currently has a number of promotions running[/caption]One shop uploaded a video showing the bargains to be had, and wrote: “Happy Birthday @Superdrug
“To celebrate we have loads of great deals including 60p items!
“What’s everyone’s favourite superdrug product?”
The @fraserburgh.superdrug video showed that a number of items have been discounted to 60p, including sheet face masks, face wipes, beauty blender sponges, loofahs, and cotton wool pads.
According to the account, the deals would be running until June 18, and you can also shop the deals on the Superdrug website.
Superdrug will be marking its 60th birthday celebrations during May and June, and they are also releasing a limited edition birthday range.
They have also looked back at beauty looks through the past 60 years with an exclusive campaign shoot, featuring Princess Andre, Louise Boyce and other key influencers.
Superdrug will also be launching ‘Wish Upon a Superdrug Star’, becoming the ultimate fairy godmother by granting wishes and gifting lucky participants.
Shoppers will need to keep their eyes peeled across the nation, for a chance to spot a Superdrug Star and make a wish to win a prize, which could be a full product range, an experience, or big points bundles.
Customers will also have the chance to enter into a nationwide competition to have an extra special wish come true – either for themselves or a nominated loved one.
The winner will be selected by a panel of external judges and have their wish granted, courtesy of a little bit of Superdrug sparkle.
Many fans seemed excited about the launch, with one saying: “I want the birthday cake face mask.”
Another added: “Omggg we need to go!”
Superdrug was founded by Ronald and Peter Goldstein in 1964, and the first store opened on April 26, on Putney High Street in 1966.
Now they have over 800 stores and 15.7 million customers have their Health & Beautycard.
Simon Comins, Superdrug’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “From our humble beginnings on Putney high-street to becoming a nationally recognised brand, 60 years is an incredible landmark for us.
“We are looking forward to celebrating our birthday with our customers as we know without them, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
Cotton pads have also been slashed to 60p in honour of the celebrations[/caption]How To Save Money On Beauty Buys
IF your purse is feeling tighter than ever before and you're looking to save cash on your make-up routine, have you ever thought of trying out beauty dupes?
Here’s five of the best recommended beauty buys that are almost identical to the posh versions, but for a fraction of the price.
FACE BASE: If you can’t afford Charlotte Tilbury‘s £52 Magic Cream, why not try a dupe that costs just £5.49 from Superdrug?
TONE IT UP: If Drunk Elephant’s £62 Protini moisturiser is out of your price range, you’ll need to check out the new dupe in Home Bargains.
TINTING IT: With Fenty’s ‘game-changer’ skin tint costing an eye-watering £29, a popular supermarket’s affordable alternative might just be the thing for you.
GET COVERED: At £29 for a Tarte concealer, the new Primark dupe is much more affordable at just £3.50.
SPRAY YAY: For those wanting to smell fresh, without the price tag, Aldi’s new Prada and Chloe perfume dupes cost a fraction of the price.
