ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- One more day, everyone. Happy Thursday! According to Meteorologists Matt Mackie and Jordan Due, we have another warm day on our hands, however not as hot as the past few with temperatures in the low 80s. Chances of thunderstorms still linger amid this warm stretch.

A pre-teen was arrested by Albany police on Tuesday and is charged with attempted murder. Meanwhile, Albany Common Council members talk about wanting to revamp the city's nightlife and the process business owners must go through for permits. 1. Albany PD arrests 12-year-old for attempted murder

A pre-teen was arrested by Albany police on Tuesday in connection to a shooting on South Pearl Street. A 48-year-old woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being shot in the arm.

2. Albany Common Council members want to revamp nightlife

Albany has required business owners who want live entertainment to go through a lengthy permitting process since 2012. But now two common council members want to change that to revamp the city’s nightlife. 

3. Hotel options for Belmont Week? What is available

After it was announced that the Saratoga Race Course would host the Belmont Stakes Racing Festival, there was an immediate uptick in calls and bookings. For last-minute travelers looking for lodging, options are limited but still available.

4. Boil water advisory for Troy, North Greenbush

The city of Troy issued a boil water advisory for all residents of the east side of Troy and those using the North Greenbush water system. There will be a loss of pressure in both water systems.

5. Splash pads open in Albany

Splash pads opened a little earlier this year in the City of Albany to help people beat the heat and, according to Mayor Kathy Sheehan, give kids something to do.
