Dodgers Star Shohei Ohtani Buys LA Mansion for $7.8 Million

Shohei Ohtani is making a major real estate move.

The 29-year-old Los Angeles Dodgers superstar has just purchased a mansion in Los Angeles for $7.85 million, formerly owned by comedian Adam Carolla.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the Japanese athlete is the buyer of the La Cañada Flintridge mansion.

The home was built in 2013, and is a three-story, five-bedroom, six and 1/2-bathroom mansion that comes with a private movie theater, basketball court and gym, as well as a pool and spa.

The home was initially listed for $8.99 million last year, and brought down to $8.35 million a few months later. It’s also located approximately 20 minutes away from his new workplace, Dodger Stadium.

Shohei signed a 10-year, $700 million deal this past offseason after six years with the Los Angeles Angels. It is believed to be the largest deal in sports history.
