Katie brushed off the news she’s set to be evicted from her Mucky Mansion on May 29.

Double brankrupt Katie has been granted a last-minute reprieve and will now be able to spend an extra four weeks in the property.

The mum of five – once worth £45million – has an unpaid tax bill of more than £750,000.

She owes £142,405 and £196,735 for the tax years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, plus £140,000 in VAT.

However, Katie is throwing herself into work telling fans: “I can’t believe the @thekatiepriceshow tour is finally here!

“Thank you so much for having us last night, Birmingham! WE LOVED IT!

“I’m so excited to be celebrating my birthday in Cardiff tonight with all you amazing people! See you soon.”

Psychologist Dr Lalitaa Suglani has told how burying her head in work could be Katie’s coping mechanism.

The author of High-Functioning Anxiety: A 5-Step Guide to Calming the Inner Panic and Thriving, told The Sun: “From a psychological perspective, it’s common for individuals to avoid confronting difficult issues and instead present a facade of normality which often falls under the branch of masking.

“People often will find different ways to cope and as a result present with coping mechanisms as a way to help themselves.

“Katie Price may feel the need to maintain appearances due to fear of what people might say about her.

“If we look at things psychologically, we can understand that these are common reasons why people often appear to be fine when they are not.

“This is similar to high functioning anxiety, where individuals show up one way and mask how they truly feel.

“In the case of Katie, there are several potential reasons why she might be engaging in this behaviour, such as emotional avoidance because it may be difficult to sit in stressful issues so they will avoid feeling them and this is then their coping strategy.

“Another reason may be because of social image or public pressure, where Katie may feel she needs to keep up appearances or feel vulnerable sharing how she truly feels out of fear of what how she may be perceived.

“So perhaps by acting as though everything is ok she protects herself from public scrutiny and criticism.

“People can often deny or minimise what they are going through, again as a way to cope and to feel a sense of control.

“She may be going through many different emotions regarding her sister being pregnant and not her and she may have different ways of dealing with these emotions, we have to be mindful just because someone is not crying or upset we cannot assume they are not, as we all show this in different ways.

“Katie may regulate her emotions and has resilience where she has been through things in her life so has developed her resilience.

“Although we assume she should be presenting with different emotions, maybe she has resilience from things she has been through that has helped her to manage these emotions more efficiently.

“Being in the public eye can be daunting. Katie might fear judgement from others if she openly discusses her struggles.

“This fear can lead to the suppression of true emotions and the adoption of a more socially acceptable facade. Pretending that everything is okay can be a survival tactic.

“By not confronting painful issues directly, Katie might be preserving her mental and emotional energy, which is crucial for coping with ongoing stress and uncertainty.

“Overall, Katie’s behaviour is likely a combination of emotional avoidance, the desire to maintain a public image, denial, resilience, fear of judgment, and self-preservation.”

Last week, Katie began dumping a load of her belongings in the grounds of the mansion near Horsham, West Sussex.

Among the possessions were a pink balloon dog and an old family portrait of Katie with ex Kieran Hayler and her five kids.

The star turned to her eldest son Harvey for support – as she paid tribute to the 21-year-old.

Sharing a video Harvey had made wishing her a happy birthday, Katie wrote: “I just love my Harvey.”

Speaking about the eviction on her podcast, Katie told her sister Sophie: “My house isn’t being repossessed, I’m not being evicted and I’m not moving into a caravan.

“Although if I had to live in a caravan, you know what the travellers have, I would love that.

“I’ll also have another announcement to make on the 28th, bring it on sunshine.”

It is understood her mortgage company has given her the extension
