A young golfer told an Iowa TV station that he was most upset about losing his golf clubs after tornado destroyed home

That positive attitude is so inspiring.

In what has been an extremely active tornado season thus far in 2024, the town of Greenfield, Iowa, was the latest community to be impacted by a destructive tornado.

Early reports from Tuesday’s storm were that at least five people were killed, 35 were hurt and dozens of homes were destroyed. One of those homes belonged to Bradley Gebbie who spoke to Des Moines NBC affiliate WHO 13 about the tornado. But the first thing he mentioned was not his home.

It’s difficult to imagine the heartbreak that comes with losing a house. And for Gebbie, that disappointment was compounded by the fact that his golf clubs were lost in the destruction.

Gebbie said:

“I lost a lot, including my golf clubs. I had like three grand into that.”

Gebbie went on to shout out TaylorMade, Titleist and Callaway to ask for help. And as the video went viral on social media, Callaway’s Twitter/X account stepped up to help hook Gebbie up with some new clubs.

Golf fans also loved Gebbie’s positive attitude despite what must have been an extremely difficult situation. He’s married to the game.
