The two winningest men’s basketball programs in the past 27 years, Duke and Kansas, will meet in the 2024 Vegas Showdown on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, ESPN Events announced on Thursday.

Kansas is ranked No. 1 in the CBS Sports Preseason Poll, with Duke at No. 8.

Duke features the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation, led by projected No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg.

Joining the Blue Devils and Jayhawks in Las Vegas, will be a hardwood matchup between Furman and Seattle. As part of the Vegas Showdown, on the weekend following the doubleheader in Nevada, Duke will host Seattle on Friday, Nov. 29, and Furman will visit Kansas on Saturday, Nov. 30. Since the 1997-98 season, no Division I men’s basketball programs have amassed more victories than Duke (783) and Kansas (779).

“Thanksgiving week continues to be an incredible showcase for college basketball,” said Clint Overby, vice president of ESPN Events. “We are proud to bring these four teams and their fan bases to Las Vegas to experience great basketball and world class entertainment and hospitality.  ESPN Events is proud of its 25+ year relationship in doing events in Las Vegas and look forward to future opportunities.”

Both Duke and Kansas are among the top 10 in ESPN’s Way-Too-Early Top 25 and each competed in the NCAA Tournament in 2023-24, with the Blue Devils reaching the Elite Eight and the Jayhawks advancing to the second round.

Nov. 26 will mark the first meeting between Duke and Kansas since the two teams clashed on Nov. 15, 2022, for the Champions Classic in Indianapolis. The Blue Devils leads the all-time series against the Jayhawks, 8-6, dating back to 1985.

Duke’s Nov. 29 opponent, Seattle, posted a 23-14 record and won the College Basketball Invitational this past season. This will be the first hardwood meeting between the Blue Devils and Redhawks.
