‘It’s brilliant!’ gardening fans rave over £4 B&M bargain that removes even the trickiest of patio weeds
WEEDS are nothing but an eyesore – especially when they start sprouting through your patio slabs.
But it turns out there’s no need to spend hours on your hands and knees pulling them out…that’s because shoppers say they’ve found the perfect solution, and it’s all thanks to a bargain buy from B&M.
Cath McEnaney took to Facebook group ‘Gardening On A Budget Official‘ and explained: “We have grass growing through the slabs & chipped stone borders.
“Any recommendations for the best weed killer to sort this out.”
She went on to say that she’s tried the popular method of boiling water but that “didn’t work,” before pointing out that salt “isn’t an option” because she has a dog.
But luckily for Cath, she wasn’t short of answers, with many gardening gurus rushing to the comments section to share their cheap and cheerful weed removal tips and tricks.
And there was one very popular answer – the ‘Rolson Weed Brush’ from B&M, which retails at just £4 and is essentially a hard-wearing bristle brush and spike.

Sharing a snap of the bargain buy leaning on her patio slabs, one social media user commented: “This is my new friend. £4 from B&M.”

The online product description reads: “Ideal for general garden maintenance.
“Keep nasty weeds at bay and keep your garden looking tidy.”
Meanwhile, a 35p condiment that you’ll most likely already have in your kitchen cupboards also proved to be a popular choice.
“White vinegar spray (just be careful not to get it on anything you don’t want to kill),” a social media user noted.
Another agreed: “20% strength vinegar. Buy from Amazon. It’ll stink for days but it works fast.
“You can watch the grass wilt and die before your eyes.”

A further suggested a combination of white vinegar, salt and Fairy Liquid and added: “Works brilliant. Put in all in a spray bottle and shake all together and spray weeds.”
Elsewhere, another posted a photo of ‘Weedol pathclear,’ which costs £15 from Amazon, and wrote: “For me hands down this is the best ever.
“Used it for the first time last year kills the weeds right down to the root.
“Much better than those back breaking ideas people are advising you well worth the pennies.”
