‘They look lovely on your fence,’ green-fingered shoppers say about Primark £1 buy that’ll instantly revive your garden

IT can be an expensive job decking out the garden.

And while savvy shoppers had been heading to stores such as B&M and The Range to stock up on budget-friendly garden decor, there’s a new arrival in Primark that’s got people racing there instead.

Natalie took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to post about the find.

“Love these!” she said, sharing pictures of the pots ready to be hung up, and after they’d been hung on the fence.

Natalie added that she got the grey pots in Primark for £1 each, so bought six of them.

She then bought 12 flowers for the pots from Tesco for £6, as well as soil from Lidl for £2 for a 20 litre bag.

Natalie concluded her haul with some cute butterflies, which were four for £1 in Poundstretcher.

“Perfect way to spruce up your garden for £15!” she added.

People were quick to comment on the post, with one writing: “Nice work, looks lovely!”

“I’ve done this for the last 2 years, look lovely on the fence,” another added.

But someone else warned: “I like them but they don’t have drainage holes so if it’s raining the pots over flow and make a mess and drown your plants”.

“Drill a small hole in bottom of pots,” another suggested.

While the person then replied: “I tried that, knackered my drill bit!”

The Primark pots come in four different colours – white, black, silver and gold.

“Any green thumbs out there will love taking a look at this hanging metal plant pot,” Primark writes on their website about the affordable pots.

Why is Primark the place to go to for bargains?

JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it's down to four points.

  • They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
  • They “do very little advertising”
  • While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
  • And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.

“The perfect way to add more greenery into your household, this hanging planter features a curved handle that allows it to hang over balcony rails, ledges and more.

“Plus, we have multiple colours to choose from, so you can pick your favourite!”

Primark actually has quite an array of plant pots to choose from.

As well as the £1 pots, they have ribbed ceramic pots and matching round trays for £4.50 each, and they come in three different colours – yellow, pink or teal.
