Funeral arrangements made for Baton Rouge plastic surgeon, children killed in plane crash
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Funeral arrangements have been announced for the Baton Rouge plastic surgeon and his children that were killed in a plane crash last week.
Opelousas native Dr. Lucius Doucet took off in a single-engine Beechcraft V35 just before 9 a.m. from the Louisiana Regional Airport in Gonzales on May 15. On board of the plane were Giselle and Jean-Luc Doucet.
Investigators said the plane was headed to Louisville, Kentucky. The crash happened in Williamson County.
Sibille Funeral Homes announced that a burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 24 at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel.
Giselle and Jean-Luc were both LSU seniors. Lucius was a surgeon at Williamson Cosmetic Center in Baton Rouge.
The funeral home is accepting Words of Comfort to the family. A memorial tree can be ordered online.
