Bernardo Silva thinks one Spurs star is really ‘dangerous’ to play against

Heung-min Son may have missed a crucial chance in the recent defeat to Manchester City, but Bernardo Silva insists the Spurs man is still a very ‘dangerous’ player.

It has been a decent season for the new Spurs skipper, with a return of 17 goals and ten assists in the Premier League this term (Transfermarkt).

Son became a brilliant leader for the Lilywhites, both on and off the pitch, and his contributions went a long way towards filling the void left behind by Harry Kane last summer.

Whether playing out wide in his favoured role, or operating through the middle as a number 9, Son rarely lets his team down. However, many believe he could and should have had at least one more goal to his name this season.

Bernardo Silva says Son is such a ‘dangerous’ player

In the game against Manchester City last week, with the score at just 1-0, Son was sent through on goal with only Stefan Ortega in his way. The usually clinical Son was unable to get past the City keeper, and Pep Guardiola’s side went on to win 2-0 and claim the title.

Speaking about that miss, Bernardo Silva told Sky Sports: “Ortega’s save against Son, my heart at that point was [in my mouth], I had the feeling, I just looked at the clock to see, do we still have time to score if this guy actually scores.

“He’s so dangerous. But it was an unbelievable save from our ‘keeper and you need these special moments from players to win titles and that one was a very important moment for us.”

You would have bet your mortgage on Sonny scoring that one, but they can’t all go in, I guess. Still, it worked out for the best, as that goal quite literally would have given Arsenal the title, and we can’t have that!
