Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Iran’s ambassador and special representative to Afghanistan, has once again emphasized the necessity of forming an inclusive government.

Iranian media reported on May 26 that Qomi raised this issue during a meeting with Afghan migrants in Iran, stating, “Afghanistan is the shared home of all Afghans, and if we want to return to the Bonn Agreement conditions, we must pay attention to this principle.”

He also mentioned that while Iran engages with the Taliban administration, it advises them.

Previously, Iranian officials have consistently emphasized the creation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan.

During the meeting, Iran’s ambassador to Kabul accused the United States of interfering in Afghan affairs, adding that ISIS is a project of Washington.

Despite the international community’s calls for the formation of an inclusive government in Afghanistan, the Taliban are reluctant to form an inclusive government claiming that their regime is inclusive.

This comes amid a dire humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan, with neighboring countries like Iran and Pakistan expelling large numbers of Afghan migrants.

The situation has exacerbated the challenges faced by Afghanistan, further highlighting the need for an inclusive government to address the country’s pressing issues.
