‘Real winner’ of Love Island 2024 ‘revealed’ days before show starts – as line up is announced

LOVE Island fans have named the ‘real winner’ of the upcoming series – days before the premiere.

Viewers have already learned the identities of the next batch of sexy singletons heading to Casa Amor.

However, 24-year-old Mimii Ngulube, from Portsmouth, is already a standout among the cast.

Taking to Reddit, a keen fan revealed the number of followers gained by each cast member since the announcement.

Mimii came out on top, having increased her follower count from 3,400 to 16,577, a growth of more than 13,000.

Since that post, Mimii’s followers on Instagram have further increased, now surpassing 18,000.

A fellow viewer commented: “Yesss keep these posts coming!!! I was definitely part of the 13k that followed Mimii.”

Another added: “13k in 24hours is crazy and the show hasn’t even start yet!!”

Others who have experienced a follower surge include 26-year-old Samantha Kenny, from Liverpool with her follower count now over 16,000.

She had started off with almost 6,000 before being confirmed for Love Island.

Meanwhile, 24-year-old Harriett Blackmore, from Brighton, had jus over 29,000 followers beforehand.

After being announced, Harriet has added new fans, bringing her past the 40,000 mark.

Series 12 is set to launch on June 3 and will be filmed in Mallorca.

Maya Jama and Iain Stirling are back as host and narrator, respectively.

For the first episode only, the show will air across ITV1, ITV2 and ITVX.

It comes as Maya, 29, has already touched down in Mallorca ahead of the new episodes.

The presenter was snapped after arriving on the island and cut a casual figure in a white T-shirt and unbuttoned blue shirt.

She covered up from the Spanish sun in a cap and sunglasses and was carrying a large coffee.

In the meantime, Maya has been preparing for a long summer of love by spending time at a detox retreat in St Tropez.

It is Maya’s fourth outing as host, following series nine, ten and the spin-off Love Island: All Stars.

She replaced Irish presenter Laura Whitmore, who had hosted three series.
