Bobby Crawford left homeless as his lies are finally exposed in Coronation Street – and there’s more horror to come
BOBBY Crawford faces a backlash from residents on the street after he finally admits he lied to the police and has to deal with the consequences.
Corrie viewers know that Bobby gave a false statement to the police about seeing a mystery guy in Lauren’s flat.
He gave a description of Daniel Osbourne hoping to get the suspicion off of Roy.
However, Roy was still charged with Lauren’s murder and is currently serving his prison sentence.
Consequently, Roy has cut off both Carla and Bobby due to their lies.
In last night’s episode, Carla convinced Bobby to come clean to the police about his lies as they owe it to Roy to be honest and do not want to hinder the investigation into Lauren’s disappearance.
Next week, Dee-Dee lets slip to Adam how Bobby stitched up Daniel by giving the police a false statement and Carla went along with it.
The Barlows gather in the Rovers where Adam reveals that Bobby gave the police a false statement, causing Daniel to become a prime suspect in Lauren’s murder investigation.
How will the family react?
Later in the café, Ken gives Carla and Bobby short shrift and makes it clear he’s deeply unimpressed by their treatment of Daniel.
Carla feels terrible, while a sheepish Bobby tells Carla it’s best if he moves out as he’s caused nothing but trouble.
Carla agrees and a crestfallen Bobby heads to his bedroom to pack his things.
Some fans have considered Bobby as Lauren’s murderer as he was the last person to see her before she went missing.
Bobby has been working with the police to help find Lauren, however, he was so certain Roy was innocent that he lied for him.
What else could Bobby be lying about?
Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – one said: “It’d be a good twist if Bobby killed Lauren.”
Another added: “For all we know Bobby did it. He’s obsessed with Lauren and way too close to the case sticking his neb in at every turn.”
A third penned: “Perhaps it’s wee Bobby who did away with Lauren and is pointing the blame at everyone else?”
