After, she went onto the Google app and went on to image search and put the image she had saved into the system.

Once done, she then had an array of similar items come up in the app.

but the really clever part was done after.

Instead of letting the search engine show items from mutliple places, she typed ‘vinted’ into the search bar.

This way all similar items listed on Vinted of the image you searched come up – meaning you don’t need waste time searching for hours or typing in different key words.

“Done gatekeeping, it always works a treat,” the fashion fan said.

“Save your pennies girls! And be sure to message the seller before buying, because sometimes Google pulls up items which were listed a long time ago,” she added.

The clip posted to her TikTok account @eviewears has since gone viral with over 58k views and 4,000 likes.

Fashion fans were quick to take to the comments thanking Evie for sharing the clever hack.

Another commented: “Amazing!! never thought of using image search like this.”

Do you need to pay tax on items sold on Vinted?

QUICK facts on tax from the team at Vinted...

  • The only time that an item might be taxable is if it sells for more than £6,000 and there is profit (sells for more than you paid for it). Even then, you can use your capital gains tax-free allowance of £3,000 to offset it.
  • Generally, only business sellers trading for profit (buying goods with the purpose of selling for more than they paid for them) might need to pay tax. Business sellers who trade for profit can use a tax-free allowance of £1,000, which has been in place since 2017.
