Report: Serie A side have ‘no interest’ in selling star player Spurs want
It’s no secret that Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is one of the most sought-after talents in world football, but despite firm interest from PSG and various Premier League clubs, including Spurs, the Italian team have declared their star man is not for sale.
The winger had an incredible season last year as Napoli stormed to the Serie A title, with Kvaratskhelia registering 14 goals and 17 assists across all competitions (Transfermarkt).
It has been a slightly less explosive season for Kvaratskhelia and Napoli this year, as the champions slumped to a ninth-placed finish in Serie A. The Georgian winger still managed 11 goals and nine assists, though (Transfermarkt).
Everything could have been very different for Kvaratskhelia, had he joined Spurs a few years ago. According to former Rubin Kazan manager, Leonid Slutsky, Tottenham had nearly wrapped up a deal for the player before his rise to prominence (Sky Sports).
Kvaratskhelia’s former agent Christian Emile has corroborated this idea, suggesting that clubs in the Premier League and Germany had turned down the chance to sign the Georgian for £20m (Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel).
Will Kvaratskhelia make a move this summer?
Naturally, many clubs are still keen on Kvaratskhelia. According to his current agent (via Gazzetta), PSG have made an initial approach, but the player himself is more focused on playing for Georgia at Euro 2024.
His agent insists the decision as to whether Kvaratskhelia does move on this summer is down to Napoli and their own valuation of the player.
And, in a report from HITC, it is claimed the Italian side have “no interest” in letting the 23-year-old go. It is thought that major clubs across Europe, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Newcastle, are all monitoring the situation.

Spurs are looking for a new winger, and there are few in world football who are more talented and exciting than Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. He would cost a fortune, so I don’t see us signing him, but it would be a fantastic acquisition if we went for it.
