New York: In exactly a week’s time, the cricketing world would witness the biggest clash of the year when arch-rivals India take on Pakistan at the Nassau County stadium in New York in a T20 World Cup 2024 game. While the stakes would be high when the two teams meet, former India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar caught up with Pakistan captain Babar Azam in what seemed like a grocery store. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli was greeted with huge cheers as he stepped to train at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York for the first time on Saturday ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. Having reached the United States on Friday, it was believed that Kohli would not come to the ground because of being jet-lagged. Although Kohli missed out on the warm-up game against Bangladesh on the day, but the former India captain made sure he doesn’t miss out on practice.
