Vanessa Bryant’s Latest Release Is Celebrating How Kobe Loved Being a ‘Girl Dad'

Quite a few times, Vanessa Bryant released clothing and accessories honoring her late husband, Kobe Bryant, and their daughter Gianna Bryant. This time, she’s not only honoring Kobe but honoring girl dads everywhere.

On May 31, Vanessa shared her newest release: a pair of sneakers for Father’s Day that honors the late Jobe, and how he loved being a girl dad. She shared the photos with the caption reading, “????GIRL DAD ???? For our Most Valuable Girl Dad. This Father’s Day we celebrate Kobe’s commitment and love for our daughters Natalia, Gianna, Bianka and Capri with the Kobe 4 Protro ‘Girl Dad’. ???????? @nataliabryant.”

In the photos, we see a green, black, and white pair of Nike sneakers with the words “Girl Dad” sewn into the shoe. We see it from a bunch of different angles, along with a photo of Kobe and their late daughter Gianna. Along with that, she shared a few more posts about the shoes, and truly, it’s such a sweet sentiment for Girl Dads everywhere.

Vanessa and her late husband Kobe previously welcomed four beautiful daughters named Natalia, 20, Gianna Bryant, 13, Bianka, 7, and Capri, 4.

Tragically, Kobe and Gianna passed away suddenly on Jan. 26, 2020, after a helicopter crash that shocked the nation.

ESPN reporter Elle Duncan shared an anecdote about when he met Kobe when she was pregnant with her daughter, via People. When he asked her what she was expecting, she said: “‘A girl,’ I said, and then he high-fived me.”

She added that he said, “‘Girls are the best.’ I asked him for advice on raising girls, seeing as he had three at the time. He said, ‘Just be grateful that you are being given that gift because girls are amazing.’”
