Bargain hunters were stunned when they spotted the new air honeycomb solar lights as part of this week’s Specialbuys.

Several savvy shoppers have been overjoyed at their garden buys, taking to social media to show others.

Posting on the Aldi UK Shoppers Facebook group, one said: “Love the solar light bought it today!”

Another posted: “Bought this wee light today and I love it.”

Fellow Aldi fans rushed to the comments to share their thoughts on the garden must-haves.

Shoppers described them as “beautiful” and “absolutely gorgeous”.

One said: “Amazing. Love it xx”

A second commented: “They look amazing when they on.”

Another wrote: “I love that!”

A fourth posted: “Beautiful, I bought two of the rainbow-coloured ones…”

“I got one yesterday. Rainbow but it’s not completely white…don’t care it’s so lovely,” another declared.

Aldi’s solar honeycomb lanterns come in three different colours: pink, rainbow and grey.

They charge throughout the day when in direct sunlight and automatically light up at night.

They cost just £4.99 and shoppers can only bag them in-store.

The lanterns are part of this week’s huge garden offering, which also includes decorative lights, garden furniture and lattice planters.

If you want to spruce up your garden and are hoping to bag yourself some of these special offers you will have to be quick.

All of the items are Specialbuys which means, once they are gone, they’re gone.

You’ll find the items in the middle aisle at your local Aldi.

What are Aldi Specialbuys?

Specialbuys are unique and exciting products that you can find exclusively in Aldi stores.

The products are launched in stores every Thursday and Sunday and can include anything from DIY items to beauty products.

You can pick up a leaflet in-store, browse online, or sign up to Aldi’s mailing list to get a sneak preview of what is to come.

There are other ways to save at Aldi and it is always worth keeping a lookout for the many dupes that the retailer launches from time to time.

One Aldi worker recently revealed all the new beauty dupes that have landed in stores.

As well as dupes of branded food items, the retailer also has beauty products and fragrances that sell out as soon as they hit the shelves.

You can browse the full list range on the Aldi website but you can only buy the items in store.

As always make sure you compare prices and shop around for the best deal.

You can do this using tools like Google Shopping, and keep an eye out for the latest deals on sites like HotUKDeals.

If you are unsure where your nearest Aldi is you can put your postcode into the store locator tool on the retailer’s website.

When's the best time to shop at Aldi?

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.

For reduced items – when shops open

Red sticker items are rare at Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.

A spokesman for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommended sales price before stores open on their best-before or use-by dates.”

That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as they open.

Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store’s times by using the supermarket’s online shop finder tool.

For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays

Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.

New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.

For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store’s opening time.

You don’t have to head into stores to bag a Specialbuy, though.

They also go on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can pre-order them up to a week in advance.

As long as you spend at least £25, you’ll get the items delivered for free.

Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit as early as possible
