George & Amal Clooney Allegedly Went to a Unique & Drastic Measure for Their ‘Peaceful Life’ at Home

George Clooney and his wife Amal Clooney have waved goodbye to Hollywood, and have reportedly decided to raise their twins in France. In case you need a refresher, George and Amal bought an $8 million, 18th-century property in Domaine du Canadel, France, but it’s only recently become their primary residence. And apparently, they went to extreme measures to ensure their safety.

According to a report by Paris Match, George planted 172 hectares of olive trees around the home. Not only did he do this for the aesthetic and gardening, he allegedly did it to ensure their “peaceful life” since there was a lack of fencing on the property.

So, the pair have many other residences around the world, but this home is reportedly their primary residence.

While we know there’s an olive tree-clad fence, the multi-million dollar French home has a pool, a tennis court, a boules pitch and lush gardens, per InTouch Weekly.

A source added that their lives have changed so much since moving there. “George and Amal’s lifestyle has really changed since the move,” they said, adding, “they’re able to walk around town virtually unnoticed. They feel safe there.”
