Mariners Game #61 Preview: 6/2/24, ANA @ SEA
Get out the broom to chase away the mouse
The Mariners are undefeated in the month of June, one of just 15 teams that can say that. Conveniently, the play the Angels today, who are the only team in the AL West that has yet to win a game this month. The Mariners will turn to Luis Castillo today to keep the good times rolling.
Lineups
Willie Calhoun gets another start at first base while Nolan Schanuel continues his recovery. And Logan O’Hoppe is back in the lineup after getting the night off last night because apparently other teams give their primary catchers days off.
Ryan Bliss, fresh off his first stolen base and first hit, will get the start at second base, despite facing the right-handed Griffin Canning. Dylan Moore and Mitch Haniger will at least start on the bench. [Extreme Mike Blowers voice:] And Cal Raleigh will do the catching.

Kate’s ode to Luke Raley’s running is some of the best baseball writing I’ve read this year. For some reason, she buried it on a Saturday, so I’m flagging it for those who missed it.
