Beautiful weather for Arts Festival, Memorial Tournament

Columbus and Central Ohio Weather

High clouds streamed in from the west ahead of a disturbance moving across the Midwest. Temperatures reached the seasonable upper 70s.

The first in a series of cold fronts will sweep southeastward around a broad upper-level low pressure area over southern Canada, triggering a few showers overnight, tapering off Sunday morning. Rainfall totals will be light due to a lack of available moisture. Temperatures will fall to the low 60s behind the front.

Skies will clear Sunday afternoon, with temperatures reaching the upper 70s, under partly cloudy skies and a northwesterly breeze around high pressure building down from Canada.

Even cooler conditions will follow on Monday, when clouds return behind a secondary surge of cool air that will hold afternoon readings in the upper 60s and low 70s. A few more cool nights for early June will follow through midweek, with morning lows in the upper 40s and low 50s.

Summer heat will return later in the week, as temperatures rebound into the upper 80s, and the humidity will increase. There is a chance for a shower or storm Thursday, but conditions will remain mostly dry through next weekend.
