According to a report in Aksam, Tottenham and Newcastle United are ready to battle it out for Besiktas wonderkid Semih Kilicsoy, with both clubs now plotting an offer for the striker.
Kilicsoy has won many admirers since into the Besiktas senior side at the start of the 2023-24 season, with the forward ending the campaign with 11 goals and three assists to his name in 23 league appearances (Transfermarkt).
Tottenham are on the hunt for a new forward
Tottenham’s interest in the 18-year-old first came to light back in February when journalist Gokmen Ozcan reported that scouts from the North London club were keeping an eye on the striker.
Since then, multiple publications, including Turkiye Gazetesi and HITC, have also named the Lilywhites as admirers of the teenager, along with several other clubs across Europe.
Tottenham battle with Newcastle for Semih Kilicsoy
Aksam have now also backed up that information, revealing that both Spurs and Newcastle are keeping a close eye on Kilicsoy’s situation ahead of the summer window.
In fact, the report says that the two Premier League sides are ready to submit a bid for the centre-forward once the Eurors are over.
The outlet adds that Arsenal and Manchester United are also fans of the teenager, who is thought to be valued by Besiktas at around €25m (£21.2m).

Tottenham now have some top young forwards on the cusp of the first team in the form of Will Lankshear, Alejo Veliz, Troy Parrott, Dane Scarlett and Jamie Donley.
While you can never have too many talented young players at the club, signing another up-and-coming striker might interfere with the development of a couple of those players.
