Biden is the one not serious about border security | READER COMMENTARY

Regarding the recent letter to the editor, “GOP puts border politics above border security” (June 5), I understand why it was upsetting that the Republican Party didn’t sign the bill negotiated by a bipartisan group of senators meant to reduce the number of migrants allowed to claim asylum at the U.S.-Mexico border. But, my question is: Where has President Joe Biden been for four years letting all these people come across the border, including criminals and gang members?

Now, all of sudden, Biden is concerned about the border security. Why? Because this issue is hurting the Democrats and his reelection. Former Gov. Larry Hogan’s use of the border issue against the Democrats is justified since they haven’t done anything in four years. And you can be sure if Biden is reelected, the southern border will open up so fast your head will spin.

All Biden is doing is trying to please the people right now until he is voted back in office. If he’s successful, beware of those four more years. The country will be headed down the tubes.
