Active weather possible in eastern Oregon Sunday
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) —What beautiful weekend weather we've seen so far across our region! The Oregon Coast and Willamette Valley will continue with the afternoon sunny moments as we wrap up the weekend.
Our seasonal daytime high in Portland is 73 degrees. But Saturday, we came in 10-degrees above that. Sunday morning, there will be a few clouds still in the mix before we see the blue skies in the Rose City.
These summer-like temperatures with mostly sunny skies across the Portland metro area will roll on through the start of next week.
In parts of central and eastern Oregon on Sunday, there is a threat of isolated thunderstorms with a small chance of heavy downpours at times.
There's also a 15-20% chance thunderstorms could be found over the Cascades Sunday afternoon and evening.
Across the metro area for next week, the forecast calls for us to either hover right around 80 degrees for an afternoon high or we'll enjoy the mid-70s.
It's not until next weekend that isolated rain showers may return to our region with a small increase in rain chances.
But for now, grab your sunnies and sunscreen and enjoy your time outdoors whether you are on the coast or up and down the valley!
