Triple-A

Syracuse Mets (37-24) 8, St. Paul Saints (27-34) 3

BOX SCORE

  • CF Trayce Thompson 2-for-5, 2 R, HR (15), 2B, 3 RBI (41), 3 K (.882 OPS)
  • SS Rylan Bannon 2-for-5, 2 R, HR (10), 3 RBI (38), K (.872 OPS)
  • 3B Pablo Reyes 1-for-5, 2 R, HR (4), RBI (12), K (.981 OPS)
  • DH Mike Brosseau 3-for-5, 2B, RBI (21), K (.913 OPS)
  • 2B Luisangel Acuña 2-for-5, R, K (.651 OPS)

Trayce Thompson added to his club lead in home runs with his 15th of the year (tied for second in the International League), while Rylan Bannon and Pablo Reyes hit homers to guide Syracuse to a third-straight win over St. Paul.

Mike Brosseau continues his incredible start to his Syracuse career, collecting three more hits while raising his Mets’ OPS to an unreal 1.069 across 29 games.

  • LHP Joey Lucchesi (3.86 ERA) 6 2/3 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 5 K (88 pitches/ 56 strikes)
  • RHP Max Kranick (3.66 ERA) 1 1/3 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 2 K
  • RHP Grant Hartwig (2.45 ERA) 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K

Joey Lucchesi was solid for Syracuse, giving the Mets his first quality start since May 8. The Saints struggled to bring home their baserunners, going 1-for-6 in RISP situations. This can be accredited to the Mets earning timely strikeouts and holding off any St. Paul two-out rallies.

Double-A

Bowie BaySox (28-27) 3, Binghamton Rumble Ponies (28-26) 7

BOX SCORE

  • SS Jeremiah Jackson: 3-for-4, 2 R, 2B, RBI (20), SB (4) (.579 OPS)

  • CF Omar De Los Santos 1-for-4, R, HR (1), RBI (1), K (.555 OPS)

The long ball powered the Rumble Ponies in Saturday’s win over Bowie. The scorching hot Ryan Clifford and JT Schwartz went back-to-back in the first inning, followed by Omar De Los Santos putting one over the left field fence in the fourth.

Clifford has now homered four times in the last six games. Over that span, he has walked eight times while striking out only three times. As a result, he has raised his Double-A OPS to .781.

  • RHP Cameron Foster (2.92 ERA) 5 2/3 IP, 4 H, 1 R (0 ER), 0 BB, 7 K (71 pitches/ 51 strikes)

  • RHP Nolan Clenney (8.53 ERA) 1 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 1 K

Cameron Foster led the Binghamton pitching staff with his second-longest outing of the year. Foster struck out a season-high seven batters while walking zero Baysox in the process.

Robinson and Clenney came in for relief and held down the fort, combining to allow three hits, two runs, and striking out three in three and a third innings.

Although Aberdeen scored most of their runs against Morris, all Brooklyn pitchers who appeared gave up an earned run and combined to allow 18 hits.
