Columbus and Central Ohio Weather

The first in a series of cold fronts swept southeastward behind an area of low pressure that crossed the Great Lakes late Saturday. High pressure is bringing pleasant weather to finish up a nice weekend, with sponsor northwesterly winds carrying cool, dry air into Ohio.

Sunshine will mix with clouds ahead of a secondary cold front arriving later this evening, but any showers should be limited to northeastern Ohio. Temperatures will range into the upper 70s. Tonight will be partly cloudy and cool, with morning readings in the mid-50s.

Clouds will develop on Monday, which will be the coolest day of the week. Afternoon readings will hover in the upper 60s and low 70s. An even cooler night will bring morning readings down to the upper 40s and low 50s on Tuesday.

Summer heat will return later in the week, as temperatures rebound into the upper 80s, as the humidity increases in a southerly flow. There is a chance for showers and storms  Friday, with slightly cooler and dry weather behind a cold front next weekend.
