Pakistani media have reported that as a result of a homemade bomb thrown at a vehicle carrying Pakistani forces, seven soldiers were killed.

According to the Express Tribune, the attack took place late Sunday, June 9, in the Lakki Marwat area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The Pakistani army also added in a statement that the attack occurred while Pakistani soldiers were deployed to the area to suppress “terrorists.”

The statement read, “Our security forces are determined to eliminate the threat of terrorism, and such sacrifices by our brave soldiers only strengthen our resolve.”

This attack comes precisely at a time when Pakistani officials accuse Kabul of facilitating and harboring the TTP in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the forced deportation of Afghan refugees from Pakistan has exacerbated the dire situation of these refugees. Many families, uprooted from their homes, are facing severe hardships as they struggle to find shelter and basic necessities.

Increased insecurity in Pakistan has led to heightened tensions in the region, with frequent attacks and escalating violence contributing to an unstable environment. This insecurity has a profound impact on the daily lives of civilians and complicates efforts to maintain peace and order.
