Sky viewers warned DAZN channel will shut down FOREVER next month – check exact date it will disappear
Sports streaming platform DAZN is axing its linear TV channel next month, leaving households with older Sky boxes in limbo.
The sports broadcaster has begun emailing customers with the warning that DAZN channel 429 will no longer be available in a few weeks.
“DAZN on Sky lasted long didn’t it??,” one customer, who received the email, wrote on X.
Another added: “Well done @DAZNBoxing – ramp up your prices, introduce PPV [pay per view] and now drop out of Sky channel 429.
“Less for more.”
DAZN 1 HD launched on channel 429 in March last year.
It was sold as an easier way for Sky customers to access live sporting content.
While DAZN subscribers could access DAZN 1 HD for no extra cost.
However, just days after the broadcaster launched its DAZN streaming app – the linear channel looks set to disappear.

Where do I find the DAZN app?
It will be sat alongside other apps on your smart TV, such as Netflix, BBC iPlayer and Prime Video.
How do I watch?
The app is available on Sky Q, Sky Glass and Sky Stream devices in the UK and Ireland.
If you have an older Sky set-up, you will need to upgrade to one of Sky’s newer boxes.
How do I sign up?
If you’re not already a subscriber, you can sign up for a DAZN membership inside the app.
The app is prime to replace channel 429 – but only for Sky customers with newer TV boxes.
Households with older Sky boxes that rely on linear channels will have to upgrade their box to access the app.
Or they will miss out on their favourite sporting events this summer.
Sky’s linear DAZN channel will cease airing programmes on July 6.
From that date onwards, viewers will need to access DAZN content via the app.
Older Sky boxes do not support the newly launched DAZN app.
