Poll result setback for BJP, INDIA bloc needs to be wary of Hindutva authoritarianism: CPI(M)

The CPI(M) claimed that the Lok Sabha election results were a setback for the BJP, which failed to secure an absolute majority. The party cautioned the opposition INDIA bloc to stay vigilant against "Hindutva authoritarianism" using "fascistic methods." Despite the BJP aiming for 400-plus seats, it secured only 240, falling 32 seats short of a majority. The INDIA bloc is 38 seats short of a majority.
