The report says that Spurs remain interested in finding a deal for the talented playmaker, and the Lilywhites are expected to have a busy summer transfer window.

Tottenham could have a busy summer ahead of them

Ange Postecoglou is particularly keen on shuffling his midfield over the next few months, with the 24-year-old Forest star just one of a number of players on Tottenham’s list.

James Maddison is Tottenham’s current creator-in-chief, while Dejan Kulusevski can cover the number ten role, but it appears Spurs want to add another creative spark to their midfield ranks.

Tottenham are interested in Morgan Gibbs-White

Gibbs-White himself is said to be interested in taking a ‘step up’ this summer as he looks to push for a regular place in the England squad, having missed out on the team for the Euros this year.

Nottingham Forest are also reportedly under pressure to sell players this month due to ongoing fears about Profit and Sustainability rules. The last thing Forest want is to incur yet another points deduction.

With Morgan Gibbs-White seen as one of the most ‘sellable’ assets at the club, and Tottenham Hotspur sniffing around, it remains to be seen whether a deal can be reached this summer.

Gibbs-White made 42 appearances for Forest last season, scoring six goals and providing ten assists in helping his side to avoid relegation (transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion:

I very much doubt that Forest would take anything under £50m for Gibbs-White this summer. At that point, I would rather Tottenham pay another £18m to sign Eberechi Eze who I think is a little more versatile and just on another level to Gibbs-White.

Tottenham need to recruit players who can make a difference to Ange Postecoglou’s starting eleven and Gibbs-White unfortunately does not.
