Patroons fall in ECF to Raleigh, ending their season

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany Patroons were defeated in game three of the Eastern Conference Championship series by the Raliegh Firebirds 97-94.

Albany was up by three at one point in the first quarter, but the Firebirds offense started to fly hitting big shots from behind the arch, ending the quarter with a 31-25 lead.

However, the Patroons fought back in the second quarter. Ja'Quaye James knocked down some big shots from three-point range, that energized an offensive surge to tie the game at 43. Despite that, Raliegh had an answer at every turn.

Daequon Antoine hit a floater giving the Firebirds a four-point lead, but the Patroons answered. Shadell Millinghaus forced a turnover and scored a layup to give Albany the lead at halftime. Raleigh swung back in the second half outscoring the Patroons in the fourth quarter, ultimately ending their season.
