State police investigating crash that killed 96-year-old woman in Griswold

State police said a woman who would have turned 97 on Saturday was pronounced dead following a crash in Griswold on Sunday.

An elderly woman was killed in a crash in Griswold over the weekend.

The crash was reported Sunday just before 4:45 p.m. on Taylor Hill Road where troopers from Troop E responded, according to Connecticut State Police.

One person, identified as 96-year-old Charlotte Degrado of Branford, was pronounced dead following the crash, state police said. She would have turned 97 on Saturday.

State police said the crash remains under investigation.
