Prince Louis Has Some Tips for England’s Male Soccer Team — But Prince William Thinks It’s Questionable

It’s no secret that Prince Louis is our favorite little opinionated and adorably sassy royal. And so we were far from surprised when we heard that the 6-year-old had advice for England’s male soccer team as they head into the UEFA EURO 2024 tournament this week. I mean, if he had Big Feelings about how King Charles III’s coronation went, he was definitely going to have an opinion on how these elite athletes should prepare.

Prince William met with the team to wish them good luck and said that when he drove his kids to school, they had some tips for the players.

“The best bit of advice I got was to eat twice the amount you normally would eat!” the Duke of Wales told the team.

And no, that tidbit did not come from Prince William and Kate Middleton’s kids Prince George, 10 or Princess Charlotte, 9. It came from their wild card third child.

“So, I now have visions of you running around with massive great tummies,” Prince William continued. “So maybe take my youngest’s advice with a pinch of salt, particularly around the physio team.”

Because eating DOUBLE the usual amount might be a bit too much. Although I guess it is pretty typical to carbo load … right? Marathoners go heavy on the pasta the night before the Big Race … right? Maybe Prince Louis — who is pretty athletic himself based on the picture above — is onto something.

Now we’re just dying to know what advice Princess Charlotte and Prince George shared. Also! Can we just pause and acknowledge how strangely normal it is that Prince William drives his kids to school? (Or is at least in the car with them.)

Prince George is really into soccer, so he probably had a lot to say. In April, Prince William revealed that his oldest is not just a fan of Aston Villa. After the father and son attended a game together, a sports reporter asked if the third in line to the throne has joined “the pride” — AKA the group of followers who are truly devoted to the team.

“Oh yes, he’s loving it,” Prince William shared. So perhaps Prince George’s advice was to follow Aston Villa’s lead.
