KANSAS CITY — Class of 2025 four-star power forward Colt Langdon is setting up official visits to Butler and LSU this summer, he told ZAGSBLOG.com.

Langdon, the 6-foot-7, 205 pound forward from Millbrook (NC) and the Boo Williams AAU program, will also take some officials in the fall during football season. Right now, the forward is hearing mostly from Butler, LSU, Notre Dame, Pittsburg, Mississippi State and Rutgers.

Here is his breakdown of each program:

Butler: “Me and coach [Alex] Barlow have a great relationship. He’s been recruiting me for a while. Coach [Thad] Matta is a legendary coach and they love shooting a lot of threes, getting up and down, playing defense. And the Big East has great competition and is a great conference.”

LSU: “Me and coach [Casey] Long and coach [Matt] McMahon have been talking for a while. SEC is big time basketball, and LSU loves playing fast, getting up and down the court, scoring the ball.”

Notre Dame: “Coach [Kyle] Getter recruited me at Virginia before he left to go to Notre Dame. So I’ve built a great relationship with him, coach [Micah] Shrewsberry. And they have a great 2024 recruiting class coming in. They’re looking for me to help build on that. And they love playing great offense. He coached with the Celtics so he definitely knows how to play NBA basketball.”

Pitt: Coach [Jeff] Capel is another North Carolina kid like me. So me and him talk a lot. They they I can be like Bub [Carlton] Carrington and Blake Hinson like this past year. They definitely see me fitting in to how they play.”

Mississippi State: “Coach [Patrice] Days has been recruiting me, coach [Chris] Jans. Like I said, SEC is big time basketball. They like playing tough, getting stops on defense, really locking up and turning defense into offense.”

Rutgers: “Coach Smoke [Marlon Williamson] and the head coach have been recruiting me. The 2024 class they have is amazing. The Big 10 is awesome basketball and they’re looking to build on that 2024 class. So they hope to bring me in, get some outside shooting.”

Langdon has already taken unofficial visits to Butler, LSU, Notre Dame, Illinois, Alabama and Pittsburg. Again, he plans on taking Butler and LSU sometime this summer.

Langdon is coming off a weekend in Kansas City where he averaged 3.0 points and 1.6 rebounds in a limited 8.4 minutes per game. He describes himself as a versatile player.

“I can score from all over the court,” Langdon said. “Pass the ball, shoot the ball, do a little bit of everything. And then guard multiple positions on defense. I feel like I can play multiple positions and fit into most systems. I’m simply going to do whatever it takes to win basketball games, no matter if it’s being a great teammate, scoring the ball, facilitating. Whatever it is that needs to be done to get the win I’m going to do it.”

Langdon is ranked the No. 137 player in the 2025 class per 247Sports and the No. 7 player in the state of North Carolina. His favorite NBA player is Luka Doncic and his No. 1 hobby outside of basketball is going fishing.
