Tom Hardy Shares Rare Comments About His 3 Kids

Tom Hardy is opening up about his family.

The 46-year-old Venom actor gave a rare update about his personal life as a father to three children with E! News.

Tom has three kids: Louis, 16, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Rachael Speed, as well as two younger children with wife Charlotte Riley.

Tom admitted that Louis won’t say if he likes or dislikes his dad’s films, but he will offer some constructive criticism.

“I mean, he wouldn’t ever tell me. He’s 16, you know what I mean? He told me what I’m getting right or wrong.”

He joked that his son may actually know better, saying, “the next gen — the 2.0 — is designed to be better than you. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t back me or support me or look out for me,” he continued, “and offer information that’s useful in order to be better with what I do.”

Tom went on to say: “It comes from a position of like, ‘Look, you know this.’ He deconstructs what I’m doing like a peer would.”

Tom, who stars in The Bikeriders, also revealed none of his children have any interest in motorcycles.

“They’re too noisy. My eldest, his friend hurt his foot really badly — tore his foot off wearing substandard footwear on a bike. So, he’s very like, ‘Don’t ride bikes.’”

As for the younger kids: “They’re not caught up in the speed thing. Before they heard the engine, they were like, ‘No, no.’ ”

He and Charlotte welcomed their youngest child in January 2019, while their first was born in October 2015. The couple hasn’t confirmed the names or genders of their kids, and are private about their personal life.
