Tottenham Hotspur will potentially have to pay a slightly higher transfer fee if they wish to sign Chris Fuhrich this summer.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has taken to social media platform X to reveal that as a result of Fuhric’s inclusion in the German national team squad for Euro 2024, his release clause has increased.

The Stuttgart winger’s previous clause was worth €23million but has increased by a further three million to €26million as a result of his call-up.

Fuhric had an impressive campaign and has now attracted interest from German giants Bayern Munich who are also keen on his services.

Spurs face competition from Bayern Munich for Fuhrich

Fuhric made 34 appearances for Stuttgart last season where he helped the club to finish in second place in the Bundesliga table ahead of Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich.

Bild journalist Christian Falk took to X last week to reveal that Tottenham are set to go head-to-head with Bayern in a bid to land the winger.

Fellow German international Timo Werner was brought back for a season-long loan from RB Leipzig and will act as good cover within the squad, but the reality is Tottenham need players who will improve the starting eleven.

Chris Fuhric is a tricky player who is also very good when it comes to taking on an opponent, if he has an impressive Euro campaign, you can expect to see his price tag increase even further.
