One arrested in connection to homicide at Choctaw Casino
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into a homicide at the Choctaw Casino.
DURANT, Okla. (KFOR) - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into a homicide at the Choctaw Casino.
According to the OSBI, the Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Police Department requested the bureau's help on June 9 regarding a homicide.
Around 6:30 p.m. that day, officers responded to the Choctaw Casino and Resort regarding an altercation. Upon arrival, they found 51-year-old Phillip Wingfield with severe injuries. Medical personnel began life-saving measures but Wingfield later passed away.
Officials say the investigation led to 20-year-old Antonio Latham. He was arrested and booked into the Bryan County Jail.
The victim's cause and manner of death has not been determined as the investigation continues.
