East Greenbush PD hosts women's self-defense classes
The East Greenbush Police Department is holding free women's self-defense classes in July.
EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The East Greenbush Police Department is holding free women's self-defense classes in July. The classes focus on Rape Aggression Defense and will teach women different techniques and concepts of ways to defend themselves.
Class dates
- July 2, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- July 9, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- July 16, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Rape Aggression Defense certified officers will guide women through several ways to protect themselves in case of an attack with three classes of hands-on self-defense. Participants aged 13 to 80 can empower themselves with the class by creating a plan of defense against predators.
The classes will be held at the Red Barn in East Greenbush Town Park on Town Park Road. To sign up, email mlafortune@egpolice.org.
