Skincare CEO shares favorite drugstore makeup that ‘really stands up against their more expensive counterparts’
AN entrepreneur has shared some of her top drugstore beauty picks that won’t break the bank.
She revealed her favorite four makeup products that rival expensive brands for a fraction of the price.
Masktini CEO and skincare lover Olga Parno is involved in all aspects of the beauty industry.
Previously, she shared with The U.S. Sun her ice trick for a glowy face that models swear by.
Now, she has offered a few recommendations for budget-friendly buys.
MUST-HAVE MAKEUP
“There are some great drugstore makeup products that really stand up against their more expensive counterparts,” she said.
She first recommended the L’Oréal True Match Nude Hyaluronic Tinted Serum.
She said it was “a great alternative to a heavy foundation with a serum-like texture to effortlessly melt into the skin.”
It provides light coverage and brightening effects and the 1% Hyaluronic Acid also hydrates and smoothes the skin over time.
Next, she suggested the Glossier Cloud Paint, which is a liquid blush with an almost gel-like texture.
“It provides a very natural yet visible wash of color and a beautiful glow to my cheeks,” she said.
Parno recommended an affordable dupe for the “cult-favorite” Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, which is the E.l.f Cosmetics Hydrating Camo Concealer.
“This concealer is a great budget-friendly alternative to the Tarte, providing full coverage whilst still hydrating the skin for a beautiful crease-proof finish,” she explained.
Parno also suggested the NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip Vegan Lip Oil, which is also “all the rage right now.”
“I’m here for it! I love the glossy finish and gentle wash of color without any stickiness and they’re great for when my lips are on the drier side,” she said.
“There’s nothing worse than your lipstick settling into all those fine lines! Give me lip oil over lipstick any day!”

MAKEOVER METHODS
Parno also shared some positive anecdotes about how to wear makeup as you get older.
“Getting older doesn’t mean we should be wearing more makeup to cover up the effects of aging,” she said.
In her opinion, less is more.
Parno also emphasized why you focus on hydration above all else when it comes to your makeup as you get other.
“Lighter base and lip products such as serum-based foundations, skin tints, liquid blushes, and lip oils are great because they’re less likely to cake and sit in your wrinkles by midday,” she explained.
Parno said that “often powders, full-coverage foundation, and other heavy makeup end up accentuating fine lines and wrinkles.”
As a result, she said our complexion sometimes “ends up looking worse than if we just left it bare.”
She called aging “a blessing,” and we “should be grateful that we get to experience it.”
