Tiffany Trump has been happily married to Michael Boulos since 2022, but during Donald Trump’s early White House years, her friendship with a White House staffer might have gotten out of hand. A resurfaced report from the 2021 book, Zero Fail: The Rise and Fall of the Secret Service by Carol Leonnig, discussed the former president’s younger daughter getting cozy with a member of his security detail.

Leonnig shared that Tiffany “began spending an unusual amount of time alone” with one particular Secret Service agent after she broke up with her boyfriend at the time. The agent was reassigned after officials “became concerned at how close Tiffany appeared to be getting to the tall, dark and handsome agent,” the author wrote in her book. Both Tiffany and the unnamed agent denied that they were involved in a relationship, and Tiffany’s spokesperson also downplayed any of the rumors to The Washington Post. “This is nothing more than gossip and is simply not true,” they said to the media outlet in 2021. “Tiffany’s experience with the Secret Service was entirely professional.”

Per the book, Leonnig was unclear if Donald Trump knew that Tiffany was close friends with a Secret Service agent. And, the then-president’s youngest daughter wasn’t the only one who caught feelings for someone on the security team. Leonnig pointed out that Vanessa Trump, Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-wife, “started dating one of the agents who had been assigned to her family” after her 2018 divorce. That particular Secret Service man “did not face disciplinary action” because Vanessa was no longer a part of the security detail by that point.

Tiffany eventually found love with Boulos, but had she been involved and married the Secret Service agent, this wouldn’t have been the first time it happened at the White House. Susan Ford, the only daughter of former President Gerald Ford and First Lady Betty Ford, married Charles Frederick Vance, a Secret Service agent who was divorced and 16 years older than her — quite scandalous in 1978! Susan was 21 years old, and the duo had met while Vance  “was a member of the detail guarding the former president,” per The Washington Post.

It was Vance’s mother, Christine Earley, who spilled the tea to the media outlet, noting that her son was “extremely dedicated to the Secret Service, a time-consuming job. My son has worked very hard, sometimes months on end without leave. I’m so glad Susan understands – her father’s gone so much of the time, you know.” The couple was married in 1979 and had two daughters, Tyne, 44, and Heather, 41, but eventually divorced in 1988.
